GWAR Return OF The World Maggot Tour Shoot

I have shot in some pretty extreme situations before where it's just a cluster fuck of photographers I have to battle or weather that seems to be coming from the ground up at 100 miles an hour to beat my face. Nothing that I have ever dealt with in my past could have prepared me for the call I received from Oderus Urungus of GWAR ordering me to come shoot at the Summit Music Hall in Denver. I quickly packed up the whip and left Aspen at 5 pm driving 4 hours to D town. Showed up an hour before the show where I was greeted by the mayhem outside the venue from GWAR's Colorado fan base frothing to get inside. A few minutes later after fighting to get to my credentials I met up with Gibby who escorted me back stage. Drinks, food and good friends hanging back stage while the the second act wrapped up their set 20 feet behind me. I quickly set up my lighting kit for the individual shots to be done with each cast member of the band. As I finished so did the second act on stage. The crowd was fired up and chanting for their, "Lords & Masters". Enter the band stage right but not before the road manager Eddie approached me saying, "Thanks for coming Zach, these photos mean a lot to the band so take your time and don't worry about the crowd." Shhhhit! Like I wasn't all ready nervous enough. Bozo Destructo was up first as well the first subtle chants for GWAR from the crowd on the other side of the curtain. I quickly filtered through the rest of GWAR just as the house and stage felt like it was going to be brought to ground from the roar of the audience screaming, "GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! I will never forget the high I got from this moment or being surrounded by complete genius.
