Catch The Moment - Nicolas Muller

swatch - CATCH THE MOMENT - Nicolas Müller from eqal visual productions on Vimeo.

The Swiss SnowboardRider Nicolas Müller is one of nine "Swatch Outlaws" athletes portrayed by Eqal for the "Catch The Moment" series, which makes those instants in sport you could not see until today into a fascinating adventure thanks to special high speed camera shooting up to 1000 frames a second.

BIG POURS

Derek Seurynck with detailed touch ups of the bigger prints we did today. Its all about using a shit ton of resin! Wish I had a giant crane and pool of resin so that I could just hot dip that cone like Dairy Queen son!

Resin Pour Take 1

Well I am pretty sure that they are going to need another coat. The resin was messy messy messy. I dropped resin on the four smaller ones just to see how they will come out when dried. Smoothing the resin is a technique that I will have to build upon. I am pretty sure I messed up the second one pretty good by getting the torch just a little bit to close. Letting them sit over night to see how they come out.

I MANAGED NOT TO GLUE MYSELF

With the help of my good frend Derek Seurynck, we managed to cut and then spray mount all the canvas prints to wooden frames made the day before. Pretty happy with the way they came out. When you do it big, it's a lot harder than it looks to get everything perfectly tacked in one try. If anyone cares, 3M spray as well as the canister is a billion times better than any other brand out there. Just put 3M up against Krylon and Krylon spray department needs to step it up. Same can design since like 1980 fellas.

Tomorrow I am going to get real messy as I finish these bad dogs off with some resin.

FRAMEWORK COMPLETE

Just got done with the framing and staining for some large prints I did for an up coming photo show in Aspen at Radio Board Shop. Going to go mount the prints right now, wish me luck!
